Concerned about the appearance of your teeth? Veneers are one of several cosmetic dentistry services we provide at our office. Learn who’s a good candidate for veneers, and what you should expect when you get them.
Veneers are a good fit for patients who have serious cosmetic concerns regarding their teeth. They can be used to cover up a variety of cosmetic issues, including but not limited to:
We don’t typically recommend them for minor concerns that can be alleviated with less-invasive procedures. For instance, a minor chip in one tooth can often be better resolved with bonding . That said, veneers are the perfect solution for cosmetic issues that cannot otherwise be addressed.
This is designed to be a permanent solution, by which we mean that after getting them, patients will need to wear veneers for the rest of their lives. That said, the veneers themselves will need to be replaced throughout your life.
We’ll discuss this during your appointment, but depending on your diet and the materials used, veneers last anywhere from 10-20 years. You can protect the longevity of your veneers by avoiding hard or sticky foods. You’ll also want to avoid chewing on ice.

At Inspire Smiles, the journey to your new smile begins with a comprehensive treatment process designed for your comfort and satisfaction.
Your journey starts with an initial consultation with one of our experienced dentists, Dr. Gaball. During this visit, we’ll discuss your cosmetic concerns and evaluate whether veneers are the right choice for you.
After deciding on veneers, your dentist will prepare your teeth. This involves numbing the area and removing a small amount of enamel from the front surface of each tooth that will receive a veneer. This preparation ensures a comfortable fit for your new veneers.
We take precise impressions of your prepared teeth and send them to our trusted dental lab, where your custom veneers will be crafted. You will wear temporary veneers during this time to protect your teeth and maintain your smile aesthetics.
Once your permanent veneers are ready, you’ll return to our office for the final placement. Your dentist will remove the temporary veneers, check the fit and appearance of your new veneers, and bond them securely to your teeth using a strong dental cement. After a final polish, you’ll leave with a stunning new smile!
Veneers offer a range of advantages for those seeking to enhance their smiles:
Veneers can address various cosmetic issues, including discoloration, gaps, and misshapen teeth, providing a uniform appearance.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a modern and technologically advanced dental practice. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable us to deliver the highest standard of care and ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
With proper care, veneers can last 10 to 20 years, making them a worthwhile investment in your smile.
The veneer process is less invasive than crowns or other dental restorations, preserving more of your natural tooth structure.
Caring for your veneers is crucial to ensure their longevity and appearance. Here are some tips for maintaining your new smile:
Practice Good Oral Hygiene: Brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss daily to keep your gums healthy and prevent decay around the veneers.
Use Non-Abrasive Toothpaste: Choose a fluoride toothpaste that is non-abrasive to protect the surface of your veneers and maintain their shine.
Avoid Staining Foods and Beverages: Limit consumption of foods and drinks that can stain your veneers, such as coffee, red wine, and berries. If you consume them, rinse your mouth with water afterward.
Wear a Nightguard if Necessary: If you grind your teeth at night, consider wearing a nightguard to protect your veneers from excessive pressure and wear.
Regular Dental Visits: Schedule regular check-ups with your dentist to monitor the condition of your veneers and overall oral health.
While veneers do not require special maintenance beyond good oral hygiene, regular dental check-ups are essential to ensure your veneers remain in excellent condition. Your dentist will provide personalized advice tailored to your dental needs.
