I had the MOST amazing week and I pray you DID as well!
It was my B-day on February 29th, a leap-year day that only comes around once every 4 years!
I woke up with the deepest sense of gratitude for being spoken into existence by The Creator of the universe on such as rare day!
Here are some fun leap-day facts:
1. The 366th day gets added to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical year (or the "seasonal year"). Since astronomical events and seasons do not repeat on a whole number of days, calendars having a constant number of days each year will drift over time with respect to events the year is supposed to track, such as seasons. By inserting (“intercalating”) a “leap day” into some years, the drift between civilization’s dating system and the physical machinations of the Solar System is corrected.
What does this mean?
To me, it highlights the struggle of us imperfect humans to align with and understand the divinely guided creation. It is a way to make our day-to-day lives align with the bigger world beyond ourselves.
For me it is an inspiration to bring the Kingdom of God to “…earth as it is in heaven…” to the best of my ability.
6 years ago I had a specific call upon my life to make a difference for women trapped in modern day slavery, a.k.a. “human trafficking,” right here in our county. In having my heart broken for that specific group of people, I found a deeper meaning to my life. In that self discovery I realized - I am chosen to leave a LEGACY!
There is a beautiful song by Nicole Noderman called “Legacy.” The chorus is what I hold most dear to my heart :
“ I want to leave a legacy,
How will remember me ?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to you enough?
To make a mark on things
I want o leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed your name unapologetically ,
An leave that kind of legacy.”
I AM moved, touched and inspired by those words and have adopted them as my “life anthem."

You were also chosen to leave a legacy. What will yours be?
2. Famous people who were born on February 29th:
3. On this day is February 29th, 1692: Women were first accused of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts - Sarah Good, Sarah Osborne and Tituba, a West Indian slave!
So as we see from the “fun facts,” on this day we have people aligning with heavenly bodies, inspirational and powerful people being born and women being needlessly harmed (the accused “witches”). It gives me the extra inspiration to make a difference with trafficking
