Happy Sunday!
I want to take a moment to say just how grateful I am for you. You have trusted both myself and my dedicated team to care for you and your health… a level of trust that humbles me daily and drives me and our team to continually strive to be our best. I know it is no small thing to search out and find a dentist you love and that effort is not lost on me.
Throughout my 24 year career, I have only become more convinced of my duty to serve the whole of the patients entrusted to my care, and I can’t do justice to that calling with dental plan restrictions on the type of care patients receive. I needed to explore options that allow patients to get the care they actually need and deserve. So that’s what I did.
I have decided to bring our contracts with most dental benefit plans to a close. This includes Delta Dental which will come to a close at the start of the new year (January 1st, 2024).
So I am pleased to announce that we will be in an unrestricted relationship with Delta and other dental benefits plans. There is nothing you need to do, just keep coming to us as you have been.
Here is what you can expect, as we enter this new chapter:
First and foremost, we are highly trained when it comes to submitting claims on behalf of all of our patients regardless of what their dental benefit plan situation is, and will continue to do so as a courtesy to you… it would be our privilege! The big difference is that in the future those of you in some plans will receive the reimbursement check from your benefit plan instead of us receiving it, and treatment fees will be due at time of service. With this new arrangement we believe that we will be able to access a higher rate of reimbursement for you and your overall investment into your dental care will not change significantly, or perhaps at all.
Second, we have enhanced our in-house membership plan (Healthy Smiles Plan), which all of our patients who utilize it absolutely love. In many instances it actually saves them MORE and is better than traditional dental benefits because it is applicable to all services unlike other benefit plans! This plan may be right you if your employer deducts dental benefits from your paycheck (look at your pay stub to see), or if you have been paying for dental benefits yourself in any form. Next time you’re in the office, please ask for details about our plan, I’m really proud of it!
Third, Correspondence from dental benefits companies can be confusing. We have your back! If you receive a letter from Delta Dental or any other dental benefit plan please KNOW that the bottom line is that your relationship with our practice does NOT change, you ARE ABSOLUTELY able and should continue coming to our practice, you ARE STILL able to access all of your benefits, we will assist you with all of your dental claims and we remain your dental home. If you receive such a letter and it seems confusing, please call our practice and we will clarify what it means.
I strive to practice patient-centric, science-based dentistry that is ideal and customized to each of you as an individual. My goal is to transform the experience of dentistry. We train diligently and work tirelessly to this end. This evolution like everything we do is designed to keep us in integrity to our values and for you to have a truly elite experience.
Thank you for your encouragement, and for your trust in us to help you thrive and live fully!
